Jamie's Portfolio Site

I am a full-time college student at Salem State University. I am working for a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in hospitality. I previously studied at North Shore Community College where I received an associate’s degree in travel and tourism.

I have always really enjoyed traveling and the way I feel when visiting new places. I also love meeting new people and couldn’t imagine working in an office all day. My senior year of high school I decided that I really wanted to try hospitality out. I also am from a tourist town called Gloucester, MA. In the summer we make most of our money off of tourists and I love seeing people enjoy where I am from. Once I decided that I really wanted to do hospitality I signed up for North Shore. Ironically I didn’t want to leave home and needed to save money. Once I graduated from North Shore Community College I got a job working for Marriott. I have never worked in a hotel before but once I did I realized I love working with people and making memorable moments for them as they enjoy their stay. It is a rewarding job in more ways than one.

In the future I want to broaden my horizons and possibly do some event planning. I just truly enjoy everything the hospitality career stands for and am excited to see what the future holds.
